AEGIR-Marine Hellas celebrates new offices and a complete team
AEGIR-Marine Hellas has officially opened its new office in Athens, Greece. Coinciding with AEGIRMarine’s 25-year anniversary, the company’s Greek branch chose to celebrate the occasion by hos ng a party for clients, friends, representa ves from the Dutch head office, and last but not least, Naomi Yorks Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of The Kingdom of The Netherlands in Greece.
AEGIR-Marine expanded its global network to include a Greek office in March 2024. Since then, the Greek team has grown to nine people, represen ng a fully self-suppor ng office. “This means we can offer our clients the full package of care: from sales to technical service support for stern tube seal and propulsion systems,” says AEGIR-Marine Hellas Branch Manager Maria Stathopoulou. “And we are pleased to say that this includes a service engineer permanently based here in Athens, a city that has always been a vital mari me hub of ac vity. This is s ll true today, and we aim to con nue AEGIR-Marine’s high level of service to Greek and Mediterranean ship owners and management companies for long into the future.”
To celebrate moving into their new office, the AEGIR-Marine Hellas team held a party with a walking dinner, cocktail bar and live music. In this current era of instant emails, it is rather special to note that the invita ons to the party were delivered by hand. AEGIR-Marine co-founder Ruud Muis opened the party, giving guests a gi of a baby olive tree to symbolise the company’s ambi on to prosper together with its network of Greek clients.
“We are astounded by the response from our invited guests – almost 200 came for what is an amazing evening of celebra on,” said Maria during the party. “We feel honoured to be celebra ng this milestone with so many people. AEGIR-Marine Hellas is now well and truly on the map: opera ng at full steam ahead in new offices with a complete team.”
