AEGIR-Marine is now a Certified B Corporation

October 14 2025

AEGIR-Marine is proud to announce it has been certified as a B Corporation (B Corp). With this certification, AEGIR-Marine joins a worldwide movement of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.

The company views this milestone not as an endpoint, but as the start of a broader movement, encouraging other maritime companies to adopt more sustainable practices.

AEGIR-Marine pursued this certification to strengthen its commitment to sustainability and to demonstrate that responsible business practices can go hand in hand with long-term success in the maritime industry.

All 12 of AEGIR-Marine’s offices worldwide are included in the certification, ensuring that its global operations are aligned with B Corp values of balancing profit with purpose. B Corps are companies verified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet high standards of social and environmental impact, operating with a focus on creating value not only for shareholders but also for workers, communities and the planet. The B Corp verification process measures a company’s social and environmental performance. To become a Certified B Corporation, companies undergo a rigorous review of the impact of their operations and business model on their workers, customers, communities and environment, and must meet a minimum verified score on the B Impact Assessment, see our public profile

As part of the B Corp Certification the company has legally embedded its commitment to a purpose beyond profit in their company articles. Every three years B Corps must recertify to uphold certification.

For AEGIR-Marine, the certification reflects its long-term commitment to people, the planet and building a resilient organisation prepared for the future. The company views B Corp recognition both as validation of its efforts and as a responsibility to continuously improve. It considers the certification an important step in an ongoing journey toward greater sustainability, while calling on others in the maritime industry to join in driving positive change.
