NAUTIS Home Product Update

October 6 2025

Automatic Identification System (AIS): We are excited to introduce AIS to NAUTIS Home. With this system, you can see vessels directly on the chart, including Vessel name, Speed, Heading, Position and Blue sign. AIS helps improve situational awareness, smoother navigation and increases realism.

RHP4 Port Authority Patrol Vessel: The RHP4 plays a key role in harbour safety. Monitoring port security, enforcing maritime rules, and assisting when incidents occur. From spotting vessels adrift to ensuring ships follow the regulations, this patrol craft is always on the move. Try it out now!

More improvements and fixes have been accomplished, inspired by feedback in the Community. You will find the details and specifics of this software update below.

DEVELOPMENT ROADMAP

We are excited to share our updated development roadmap, designed to keep you informed about what is next for NAUTIS Home.

We have carefully reviewed all the feedback shared in the community about what matters most for your learning experience. These priorities shaped the focus points for next year. The features listed above are the highlights, and more may be added along the way. In addition, you can continue to expect new vessels, environments, and courseware as part of our ongoing development.

At the end of 2025, we will share an updated roadmap with more details on next year’s planning, including the amount of new vessels, environments and courseware.

Coming soon: This section highlights the vessels, environments, features, and courseware planned for the next product update. While our aim is to deliver these as scheduled, timelines may shift due to development challenges or evolving priorities. Rest assured, we will keep you updated every step of the way.

Developing: The listed features are already in progress but need more development time. We regularly review this list to incorporate your feedback and ensure our work stays aligned with your training needs.

Goal 2026: Looking ahead, our focus will be on delivering larger features that significantly enhance your training experience:

  • Situation Editor: We will introduce the foundation of this tool, allowing you to place vessels and objects from the NAUTIS Home library into the environment. It will be expanded step by step into a full editor as we continue building it. You can create custom training scenarios tailored to specific training needs not covered in existing content.

  • Traffic: We are currently exploring the integration of traffic. Our goal is to implement traffic using historic AIS data, to enrich your training with realistic traffic situations.

  • Towage: We aim to add tug operations, including pushing and pulling to broaden your maneuvering training options.

  • New Learning System: We are working on migrating to a more professional learning platform in the coming year. This will significantly improve your learning experience and provide more structured training opportunities. Details will follow as soon as they are available.

VESSEL TWEAKING SESSION

In September, we announced on the NAUTIS Home Community that we would be hosting an online Vessel Tweaking Session for the Cheviot Bandit. Registration is now closed, and we want to thank everyone who showed such passion in helping us improve the realism of our vessels.

The session will take place in November, and the insights gathered will be implemented in the following release. We’ll also share the results directly with you on the NAUTIS Home Community for those curious to learn more.
