Green Yard orders SMST mission equipment

SMST has been awarded a contract by shipbuilder Green Yard Kleven for the delivery of a gangway (TAB-L2), with an Access and Cargo Tower (ACT), and a 50t Knuckle Boom Crane (KBC) for the newbuild Field Support Vessel (FSV) of OMV Petrom S.A. The vessel is bound for the Neptun Deep project, the largest natural gas project in the Romanian Black Sea, and will be delivered in the second half of 2026.

Huisman has secured a contract for the delivery of two 250mt Knuckle Boom Cranes, to be installed on the new ST-245-designed offshore energy support vessels of Sea1 Offshore, a Norwegian shipping company. The contract was signed with COSCO (Qidong) Offshore Co., Ltd.

Damen Marine Components wins four-vessel contract for steering gear, rudders and nozzles

Dutch shipbuilder GS Projects has contracted DMC by to supply the steering, control and propulsion equipment for four dry cargo vessels. DMC will provide its ‘plug & play’ Piston RAM-type steering systems, Barke rudders and Optima nozzles to the series of four identical vessels. These ships are being constructed at the GS Projects shipyard in Waterhuizen, the Netherlands – a project in cooperation with Groot Ship Design and Ship and Steelbuilding (SaS), who build this series for their shortsea shipping client Longship.

New Combat Support Ship for the Royal Netherlands Navy arrives at Damen Naval shipyard

Combat Support Ship (CSS) Den Helder (A834) arrived in Vlissingen this morning after successfully completing her maiden voyage and sea trials. The new supply ship for the Royal Netherlands Navy departed from the Damen Naval shipyard in Galați, Romania on 16 November for her Sea Acceptance Tests (SATs) and is now in Vlissingen-Oost for the final outfitting phase of the project. In the coming months, the finishing work will be carried out before the CSS is handed over to the Netherlands Ministry of Defence's Materiel & IT Command (COMMIT) in spring 2025.
