Damen delivers Booster Station with Marine NOX Emission Reduction System to Hegemann

In June this year, Damen Shipyards signed a contract with the German dredging contractor Hegemann for an innovative booster station. The booster, a standard BS 500, will be fitted out with Damen’s in-house developed Marine NOX Emission Reduction System. This officially EU Stage V certified system will be mounted on top of the booster station to effectively reduce the NOX and particle emissions and provide sound reduction as well. The standard stock booster was ready in weeks, the emission reduction system will be retrofitted later.

MacGregor to supply cargo access solutions for 12 Pure Car and Truck Carriers for CIDO Shipping

MacGregor, part of Cargotec, has secured an order to supply cargo access equipment for 12 Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs), with an option for eight additional vessels. The vessels will be built at China Merchants Heavy Industry (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. (CMHI) for CIDO Shipping. The order was booked into Cargotec's third quarter 2024 order intake, with deliveries planned to begin in the second quarter of 2026 and to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2029.

Damen to deliver two fully electric ferries to City of Toronto

Damen has signed a contract with the City of Toronto in Canada for the delivery of two ferries. The fully electric vessels will provide a major boost to sustainability in the region. They will operate between the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal in downtown Toronto and the Toronto Islands, a major tourist destination, located in a high traffic area close to the shores of Lake Ontario.

Jawar Al Khaleej L.L.C. takes delivery of three Damen Search and Rescue vessels

Three new Damen search and rescue vessels have been handed over to Jawar al Khaleej (JAK) in a ceremony held on 23 September at Albwardy Damen in Sharjah, within five months after the contract was signed. The vessels are two Damen SPi 1605 SAR class plus one Damen STe 1905 SAR and they will be deployed in Iraqi waters under a 20-year contract between Jawar Al Khaleej L.L.C. (JAK) and the Iraqi Ports Authority

On 12 September, Damen Shipyards Group signed a contract with WUZ Port and Maritime for an ASD Tug 2111. The vessel will be the eighth Damen tug operated by the Polish towage company. In recent years, WUZ has expanded its fleet in response to the development of the Port of Gdansk.
