RemoraDocks is pleased to announce its official transition into a fully independent private limited company (BV), following a successful spin-off from Mantis Marine. This strategic decoupling allows both entities to sharpen their focus on their respective missions within the circular maritime economy.
RemoraDocks: Engineering Digital Circularity
As a standalone entity, the RemoraDocks platform will focus exclusively on developing advanced IT tools and digital solutions designed to enhance circularity in the maritime industry. These IT tools are specially developed for ship owners and offshore contractors. By leveraging data-driven insights, RemoraDocks aims to provide the sector with the necessary infrastructure to track, manage, and optimize the lifecycle of maritime assets, reducing environmental impact through digital innovation. These practical tools have been tested at mayor offshore contractors in the last year and still developing with the feedback of the users as we speak.
Mantis Marine: Excellence in Equipment Re-use
Mantis Marine BV will continue its core operations as a premier service provider for used offshore and marine equipment. Maintaining its specialization in delivery and trading of used cranes, winches and vessels/barges, Mantis Marine remains dedicated to promoting the reuse and refurbishment of heavy machinery. By extending the operational life of high-value equipment, Mantis Marine continues to provide a sustainable, cost-effective alternative to new production with often long lead times.
"This evolution marks a significant milestone for both companies," said Ronan Oostveen, Director Operations and co-owner at RemoraDocks. "While Mantis Marine continues to lead the way in the physical reuse of equipment, RemoraDocks will provide the digital 'brain' to make circularity scalable and transparent across the entire maritime supply chain." The separation ensures that both companies can better serve their specific market segments while remaining united in their commitment to a more sustainable and circular maritime future, said Pieter Korterink, Managing Director at Mantis Marine.
