Value Maritime is proud to be part of the maritime world in Rotterdam
Value Maritime’s goal is to make the maritime industry more sustainable by developing valuable technological solutions that economically combat shipping emissions. One of this year’s focuses on Europort is ‘Making sustainable waves’. A subject that resonates very well with the company.
At Europort, Value Maritime sponsors all the well needed coffee at the Dutch Pavilion in Ahoy Rotterdam. They have a special bond with Rotterdam. “We are founded in the port of Rotterdam. And it is an amazing port in the sense that it is a pioneer for so many innovative technologies, and especially green technologies.”
“But we want to support all companies and individuals that play a part in the development and use of green technologies. That is why we feel the importance of being present here and contributing to this pavilion.” Value Maritime sees a special importance for the Dutch pavilion. “A place like this brings people together, stories are shared and new technologies are given centre stage.”
Value Maritime is active in Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems (EGCS) as well as Carbon Capture. “Carbon Capture is the technology where you capture carbon from vessels when they are sailing and you bring that carbon back to shore. That way you decrease the emissions on the vessel. This is a technology that will definitely expand and scale up in the coming years.”
According to Value Maritime, this expansion has two main reasons:
- Regulations are getting clearer.
- CO2 offloading, processing, utilisation and storage facilities will become more available at ports globally.
Value Maritime helps players in the industry to adjust to a more sustainable way of working. “We are working in all maritime segments, from short sea to deep sea, with tankers, bulkers, general cargo and container ships. Our system is suitable for engines of 3 to 20 megawatts.”
