Join us first at Sif Netherlands to check out their monopiles during a guided tour and have a nice network lunch, followed up by visiting nothing else but the world's largest vessel: the Pioneering Spirit of Allseas including a borrel on board.
We have a real highlight-day planned on 13th of March where the motto is: The bigger, the better.
How can I join?
As this event was very popular in the past, we decided for a slightly different approach. Set a reminder for next week Thursday, 10:00 AM (the 12th of February). We will then send a link to sign into the interest-list. Generally the rule is first come, first serve, but we will double-check that the participation is fair in terms of colleagues per company. Beginning of the week thereafter you will receive either a confirmation or waitinglist email. So set an alarm for February 12th and don’t miss the sign up! For questions, please contact Annika via annika@echthumancapital.com.
Practical information
Date: March 13
Time: we meet at Rotterdam Centraal around 09:00 and end there around 19:00. Exact times will follow
Location: A bus will take us from Rotterdam Centraal to the Maasvlakte and back. A good way to already get to know each other and kick-start the day together.
More about Allseas and the Pioneering Spirit:
Allseas
Allseas delivers ground-breaking engineering and construction solutions for the offshore energy industry. We are a major contractor in the global offshore energy industry, leading the way in subsea pipeline construction and transport, installation and removal of offshore facilities. Pioneers in heart and soul, we integrate cutting-edge innovation with engineering excellence to meet the market’s ever-changing needs. Through our commitment to facilitate the energy transition through sustainable, technology-driven solutions, we are securing the future.
Pioneering Spirit
The world’s largest and most versatile construction vessel, represents a step change in offshore engineering. Purpose-built to transport, install and remove entire offshore platforms in a single lift, our record-breaking vessel is also capable of installing ultra-heavy pipelines across any water depth.
Transforming platform installation and decommissioning
Engineered entirely in-house, Pioneering Spirit has transformed offshore operations. Its groundbreaking single-lift technology enables the installation or removal of platform topsides up to 60,000 tonnes and jackets up to 20,000 tonnes, reducing offshore exposure and transferring complex activities onshore where they are safer and more cost-effective. This streamlined process minimises risk, costs and development timelines, setting new standards for operational efficiency.
Unmatched pipelay capacity
The world’s largest and most advanced pipelay vessel, Pioneering Spirit, sets the benchmark in offshore pipeline installation. With an unmatched S-lay tension capacity of 2000 tonnes, she installs pipelines of record weight from shallow to ultra-deep waters with precision positioning enabled by 12 azimuth thrusters. A double-joint factory, six welding stations, and extensive pipe storage allow continuous, high-speed pipelay, delivering superior installation performance for critical offshore energy infrastructure projects.
More about Sif:
Sif is located in the Port of Rotterdam’s Maasvlakte and is a leading factory producing giant steel foundations, monopiles and transition pieces for offshore wind turbines. Here, the whole process takes place from steel to a finalized coated tube; everything is XXXL. With direct deep-sea access at the doorstep of the North Sea, this facility makes Sif a key player in Europe’s renewable energy future, turning steel and innovation into the backbone of offshore wind.
