Damen Naval signs new contract with Dutch supplier for Anti-Submarine Warfare frigates
Damen Naval will partner with Hatenboer-Water on all freshwater systems on board the four Anti-Submarine Warfare Frigates (ASWF) that Damen Naval is building for the Netherlands and Belgium. With this contract, Damen Naval has once again found a Dutch supplier for the prestigious ASWF project.
Damen Shipyards and CMA CGM to cooperate on increasing container ship efficiency
Damen Shipyards Group and leading shipping group CMA CGM are beginning a cooperation that will ultimately result in around 10 of the latter’s vessels receiving significant modifications this year. These will deliver fuel efficiencies of more than 10 percent. The upgrades will take place at Damen Shiprepair Dunkerque (DSDu) and Damen Shiprepair Amsterdam (DSAm), which between them have some of Europe’s largest dry docks and many years’ experience in complex refits and retrofits.
Bakker Sliedrecht implemented Energy Storage Systems on two Boskalis’ Diving Support Vessels
Following Boskalis’ earlier announcement to hybridize numerous existing vessels of their fleet, Bakker Sliedrecht successfully implemented the Energy Storage Systems (ESS), on board of the two Boskalis diving support vessels BOKA Atlantis and BOKA Da Vinci. The installation of the ESS reduce the vessels’ fuel consumption and associated carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxide emissions by an average of up to twenty percent. The systems also provides a power supply and energy storage facility while the vessels are docked and contribute to quieter and more efficient operations offshore.

Royal Bodewes selects DMC to supply steering gear, bridge controls and propeller nozzles
