In late December, Hydrex once again demonstrated their worldwide operational reach by carrying out a complex underwater propeller blade seal repair on a hopper dredger while it remained in port in Lagos, Nigeria.
Fugro to deliver multi-year marine mammal monitoring supporting Ireland’s offshore wind ambitions
Fugro has secured a two year environmental services contract with EirGrid, Ireland’s state owned electricity transmission operator, to deliver long term marine mammal monitoring along Ireland’s south coast. The work will support EirGrid’s Powering Up Offshore – South Coast programme, which is delivering the electricity infrastructure needed to connect future offshore wind farms to the national grid, and marks the first commercial deployment of Fugro’s purpose built mooring system.
Damen delivers Landing Utility Vessel 2208 to Blueshell Mussels
On 20th April Damen Shipyards Group signed a contract with Blueshell Mussels for the delivery of a Landing Utility Vessel (LUV) 2208. The vessel, named Bountiful, is supporting the company’s mussel harvesting operation in the Shetland Islands off the north coast of Scotland.

Op woensdag 21 juni vond een constructief kennismakingsgesprek plaats met Tweede Kamerlid Judith Bühler (CDA). Tijdens het gesprek was er veel aandacht voor het strategische belang van de maritieme en offshore maaksector voor Nederland en de belangrijke rol die de sector speelt in innovatie, verduurzaming en economische weerbaarheid. We hebben het belang toegelicht van passend industriebeleid en zijn dieper ingegaan op hoe we kunnen voorkomen dat onze sector tussen wal en schip raakt binnen de zes taskforces van de regering.
