Jan Fransen ontvangt Sleepanker voor zijn bijdrage aan veilige en duurzame scheepvaart
Havenbedrijf Rotterdam heeft Jan Fransen, managing director van de Green Award Foundation, onderscheiden met het Sleepanker. Fransen ontvangt de onderscheiding vanwege zijn uitzonderlijke bijdrage aan de verbetering van de veiligheid, milieuprestaties en duurzaamheid van de internationale scheepvaart.
Werkbezoek van minister Karremans aan Havenbedrijf Rotterdam in het teken van drones
Welke rol hebben drones nu in de Rotterdamse haven en hoe zal dit er in de toekomst uitzien? Die vragen stonden centraal bij een werkbezoek van minister Vincent Karremans van Infrastructuur en Waterstaat aan Havenbedrijf Rotterdam. Zijn bezoek op donderdag 9 juli stond dan ook geheel in het teken van de toekomst van onbemande luchtvaart in de haven.

Dutch specialised shipyard Concordia Damen is proud to announce it has received a contract from TUI River Cruise. The contract consists of 2 CDS River Cruise 135 vessels. These cruisers are of in-house design and have been tailored to TUI’s explicit wishes.
Fugro to support UK carbon capture infrastructure development
Fugro has been awarded a contract by Saipem to deliver integrated marine survey and inspection services for the Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP), the UK's first CO₂ transportation and storage infrastructure project. Saipem is leading the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of the offshore pipeline and associated infrastructure for NEP, an incorporated joint venture between bp, Equinor and TotalEnergies.
Portlantis ontvangt de laatste van in totaal 17.500 scholieren van dit schooljaar
Het schooljaar is bijna voorbij en Portlantis maakt de balans op: het afgelopen schooljaar ontving het ervaringscentrum over de Rotterdamse haven in totaal zo’n 17.500 scholieren van alle niveaus. Ook scholen uit het buitenland wisten Portlantis te vinden en zelfs universiteiten uit de Verenigde Staten, Mexico en Canada bezochten Maasvlakte 2. Dinsdag 7 juli ontving Portlantis een van de laatste schoolgroepen van dit schooljaar. 39 leerlingen van groep 6 en 7 van SWS De Brandaris uit Hellevoetsluis bezochten Portlantis als onderdeel van het Port Rangersprogramma.
