Royal Huisman presents SKY, a rare opportunity for a visionary owner: a pedigree 81 meter / 264 feet sloop crowned by the world’s tallest mast. Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design (MMYD) developed the ambitious naval architecture and the contemporary, head-turning exterior styling. Winch Design created the elegant and inspiring interior of this super-sized sailing yacht. The carbon rig by Rondal will have an air draft of 93 meters / 305 feet, which equals the towering height of the Statue of Liberty from ground to torch.

ENFORCER to strengthen Netherlands Coastguard fleet

The Coastguard will be strengthened with the ENFORCER, a Damen FCS 5009 vessel. This vessel will be deployed in the years ahead to ensure the continuity of maritime security duties in the North Sea. The ENFORCER will provide additional support until the new generation of Coastguard ships goes into operation.

During Europort 2025, one of the largest maritime events in Europe, Ned Marine Services (NMS) signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Innovative Manufacturing, a Canadian manufacturer specializing in anti-corrosive protection tapes for piping systems, offshore structures, and industrial installations.

Berge Rederi signs contract with Wattlab to outfit coaster BRF Froan with 96 Solar Flatracks

After delivering its first full-scale seagoing project last week, Wattlab signed a contract at Europort Rotterdam to outfit the hatches of the BRF Froan with their onboard solar energy system. For Norwegian, family-owned Shipping company Berge Rederi this is the icing on the cake, as the vessel will be the world’s largest battery-powered bulk carrier. BRF Froan is expected to be delivered in Q2 2026 and will transport marble from Brønnøy and Visnes to a production plant in Elnesvågen.

The companies are collaborating to accelerate the development and integration of hybrid and electric drive systems within the maritime value chain. Bureau Veritas (BV), a world leader in testing, inspection, and certification, along with more than 30 European companies from the French and international nuclear and maritime sectors, has formally signed the Declaration of Cooperation for Accelerating Nuclear for Maritime Applications to meet Climate Ambitions during the World Nuclear Exhibition in Paris. The signing represents a landmark initiative uniting international stakeholders across the nuclear, maritime, research, financial and regulatory communities in a shared commitment to promote a European initiative to advance the safe and sustainable use of nuclear technologies for maritime decarbonization.
