Alewijnse and Damen Naval have signed a contract for Alewijnse to undertake the complete integration and installation of all the electrical systems, including low voltage power distribution and lighting systems, on board the four new Anti-Submarine Warfare Frigates (ASWF) being built for the Dutch and Belgium navies.

Damen Naval has contracted Dutch company Alewijnse for the complete systems integration on board the Anti-Submarine Warfare frigates (ASWF). The two companies have signed a contract for the design, engineering, installation, and integration of all electrical systems, including power distribution and lighting installations of the four new frigates being built for the Netherlands and Belgium.

Louis Meyer signs contract for delivery of one of the first Damen Shipyards’ compact ASD Tug 2111

Neue Schleppdampfschiffsreederei Louis Meyer GmbH & Co. KG of Hamburg has placed an order with Damen Shipyards for the one of the first of its next generation ASD Tug 2111 class. The vessel will be operated on a long-term charter by Emder Schlepp-Betrieb GmbH (ESB) for operations in its home port of Emden, one of the top three ports in Europe for car shipping. There, its shallow draft and compact size together with its over 50 tonnes of bollard pull, make it ideal for manoeuvring large vessels in all respective areas of the port.
