Badhoevedorp, 10 May 2023 – EST-Floattech is pleased to announce that its Octopus Series Battery System has received Lloyd's Register and Bureau Veritas Type Approval for maritime applications. The Type Approval of Lloyd’s Register was issued on April 17, 2023. Bureau Veritas issued the Type Approval for the Octopus Series last Monday, May 8th. The first projects for this newly designed and assembled marine Energy Storage System are already being delivered.

Damen Shipyards delivers new Multi Cat 3313 Shallow Draft class to Herman Sr. BV
In a ceremony held at Damen Shipyards Hardinxveld, the second of the new Multi Cat (MuC) 3313 SD class was handed over to workboat operator Herman Sr. BV in front of hundreds of guests. Named Bella, the exceptionally versatile 33-metre vessel has a draught of less than two metres, enabling her to operate in very shallow waters.

Damen Marine Services takes delivery of first extra-shallow draught Damen Multi Cat 3313 SD
Damen Marine Services (DMS), the division of Damen Shipyards that offers Damen vessels for charter both fully crewed and bareboat, has taken delivery of the first of a new class of Damen Multi Cat, a Multi Cat 3313 SD named DMS Snipe. While Damen’s Multi Cat range is known for its shallow draught capabilities, this new class can draw less than two meters, an exceptional achievement for a 33-metre vessel.

First look at Project 710
One of the most technically advanced and dynamically designed Feadships of recent years has slipped out of her construction hall at the Feadship yard in Aalsmeer for final outfitting in advance of sea trials. Project 710, as she is known at the yard, extends to 84 metres. According to the design team, the brief called for every yacht design norm to be questioned and challenged, both in terms of architecture and engineering, to create a next generation project. Her length is optically stretched by a low profile, horizontal styling features, and very clean shapes flowing aft from a strong bow showcasing strength and seaworthiness.
