Gasten Reddersgala halen recordbedrag op voor de KNRM
Het jaarlijkse KNRM-benefietgala, waar ruim 650 gasten aanschoven in Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin in Noordwijk, heeft een recordbedrag van €1,848.000,- opgeleverd! Het was de 19e keer dat de KNRM het Reddersgala organiseerde.

De Royal Van Beest Group is verheugd te kunnen melden dat het Enduro Softslings heeft overgenomen. Enduro Softslings, tien jaar geleden opgericht in Nederland, heeft een leidende positie verworven in de hijsindustrie dankzij innovatieve productiemogelijkheden, hoogwaardige op maat gemaakte softslings en uitstekende klantenservice. Als onderdeel van de Royal Van Beest Group, de wereldwijde marktleider achter vertrouwde merken als Green Pin® en Irizar Forge, krijgt Enduro Softslings toegang tot middelen en expertise om verdere groei te stimuleren.
KNRM plaatst grootste werforder ooit
De KNRM heeft opdracht gegeven voor de bouw van dertien nieuwe reddingboten, die vanaf 2026 worden gebouwd door de Friese werf Dok en Scheepsbouw Woudsend BV in Woudsend. Het betreft ‘all-weather’ reddingboten van ruim 19 meter, de grootste reddingbootklasse bij de KNRM. Nooit eerder in de 201-jarige geschiedenis van de KNRM werd zo’n grote order geplaatst. Alle reddingboten worden betaald uit donaties, nalatenschappen en bijdragen van KNRM-sponsoren. De naamgeving van elke reddingboot wordt bepaald door de sponsor die het grootste deel van de bouwkosten heeft gedoneerd.

De digitale golf in de scheepvaart: TODDIS winnaar RAAK-Award 2025
Het onderzoeksproject TODDIS - Transferring Operational Data into Design Information for Ships - is bekroond met de RAAK-Award 2025, de landelijke prijs voor het beste praktijkgericht onderzoek, en won zelfs de publieksprijs. Dubbel succes dus. Met het onderzoeksproject zette het lectoraat Maritieme Innovatieve Technieken in 2020 koers richting een datagedreven toekomst voor de scheepvaart. Vijf jaar na de start is de haven bijna in zicht, in januari 2026 loopt het onderzoek af. “De tools, inzichten en samenwerkingen die zijn ontstaan, vormen inmiddels een stevige basis voor de maritieme sector van morgen”, concluderen lector Herbert Koelman en PhD-onderzoeker Sietske de Geus-Moussault.

Afspraken over permanente netten rond gangways leiden tot hogere efficiëntie en veiligheid
Bij innovaties in de scheepvaart hoeft het niet altijd te gaan om ingrijpende veranderingen. Dat bewijzen nieuwe afspraken van de International Maritime Organization (IMO) over permanente gangwaynetten, op initiatief van de International Taskforce Port Call Optimization, Maersk, APM Terminals, Koninklijke Roeiers Vereeniging Eendracht, Havenbedrijf Rotterdam en het Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Waterstaat. Een relatief kleine aanpassing met grote positieve gevolgen.
Fugro completes surveys for Italy’s Rimini offshore wind farm development
Fugro has completed geophysical and archaeological surveys for Energia Wind 2020 to support the development of the Rimini offshore wind farm. As one of Italy’s first fixed-bottom offshore wind initiatives, the 330 MW project represents a major step forward in the country’s energy transition. Fugro’s Geo-data will be key to selecting optimal cable routes and informing engineering designs for the wind farm’s infrastructure, helping reduce project risks and enabling safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible development.
