Damen delivers ASD Tug 2811 En Avant 19 to Muller Dordrecht

Damen Shipyards Group has delivered an ASD Tug 2811 to Muller Dordrecht. The vessel, named En Avant 19, joins a number of Damen vessels in the company’s fleet. This includes two ASD Tugs 3212, En Avant 25 and En Avant 26, that Damen delivered in 2023 and 2024, respectively.

At a ceremony at Damen Shipyards Galati in Romania, the tenth Island Class ferry has been launched. Damen is constructing the vessels for BC Ferries. The Island Class ferries provide services connecting islands along Canada’s west coast.

Alewijnse provides technology for geothermal energy in Delft

Beneath both the campus of the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) and a large part of the city of Delft lies a substantial natural heat source. Above it can be seen a newly-built geothermal plant that is supplying sustainable heat to both the campus and part of the city, while at the same time it is being simultaneously connected to a large scientific research and education programme at TU Delft. On behalf of Geothermie Delft B.V., Alewijnse implemented the advanced control system of the geothermal installation.

Fugro maps Texas river basins to improve flood resilience

Fugro is undertaking an elevation‑mapping project to support flood‑risk and infrastructure planning across south central Texas. Commissioned by the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB), the work spans the Guadalupe, San Antonio, Lower Colorado, and Lavaca river basins, covering approximately 41,381 square kilometres across 34 rapidly growing communities. Many of these areas have faced repeated flooding in recent years, prompting local authorities to update hazard‑mitigation plans and improve drainage, transport and water systems.
