Van Oord successfully completes monopile installation at Windanker offshore wind farm

Van Oord has completed the transport and installation of all 21 monopiles at Iberdrola’s Windanker offshore wind farm, a key milestone in the construction of the project. This achievement involved the largest monopiles Van Oord has ever installed, made possible by earlier upgrades to its heavy lift installation vessel Svanen, which is now equipped to manage next-generation offshore wind monopile foundations.

Nevesbu provides engineering and yard support for mid-life modernisation Indonesian Bung Tomo class frigates

The Indonesian Navy is undertaking a major mid-life upgrade of its Bung Tomo-class multi-role light frigates. Following the ongoing modernisation of KRI Usman Harun, the remaining two vessels in the class (the KRI Bung Tomo and KRI John Lie) are now also set to undergo a comprehensive modernisation. PT Len Industri has once again appointed Nevesbu as the platform systems integrator for this programme. This work covers the full platform systems integration scope, from surveys mapping out the as-as situation and the complex design and engineering works to on-site support during construction. With this project, Nevesbu further strengthens its role as a strategic knowledge partner, ensuring that the Indonesian Navy’s upgraded frigates remain mission-ready for years to come.

Underwater mobdock repairs: case studies

Hydrex is able to perform a wide variety of operations with their flexible mobdocks. These enable them to create a dry environment underwater for divers to work in. There is no need to send the vessel to drydock. Hydrex brings the drydock to you and all operations can be carried out alongside or at anchorage with-out interruption. The lightweight mobdocks allow for a fast mobilization and the necessary adaptability.
