The Indonesian Navy is undertaking a major mid-life upgrade of its Bung Tomo-class multi-role light frigates. Following the ongoing modernisation of KRI Usman Harun, the remaining two vessels in the class (the KRI Bung Tomo and KRI John Lie) are now also set to undergo a comprehensive modernisation. PT Len Industri has once again appointed Nevesbu as the platform systems integrator for this programme. This work covers the full platform systems integration scope, from surveys mapping out the as-as situation and the complex design and engineering works to on-site support during construction. With this project, Nevesbu further strengthens its role as a strategic knowledge partner, ensuring that the Indonesian Navy’s upgraded frigates remain mission-ready for years to come.

Havenbedrijf Rotterdam ontwikkelt nieuwe terminal voor offshore wind activiteiten
Havenbedrijf Rotterdam gaat in de noordwesthoek van de Maasvlakte een terrein van 45-hectare ontwikkelen voor offshore wind activiteiten. De terminal biedt mogelijkheden voor opslag, overslag, installatie en (pre-)assemblage van windturbinecomponenten en fundaties. De terminal krijgt directe nautische toegang naar zee en wordt uitgerust met zware lading kades en hoogwaardige logistieke faciliteiten. Geïnteresseerde marktpartijen kunnen zich vanaf vandaag aanmelden voor de markconsultatie. De verwachte ingebruikname van de terminal staat gepland voor midden 2029.
